The Other Girl

Remember this girl?

Dao Sah Pao, the sweet little girl who loves car rides, snuggles with human and large space to roam and run around. She is now working part time in my dad's oil palm nursery where she gets to run, roam and play with the other working dogs there, and a faithful, gentle companion dog to my grandparents after working hours.

Dad don't believe in paying more for quality dog food, he thinks that is just another marketing technique to con consumers like me. All dog foods/ kibbles for farm dogs are bought in bulk every 2 months directly from manufacturer since everyone is big eater.

Went back to hometown recently, photo taken during her lunch break. Bought her a bag of Orijen 6 Fishes for a change, look at that expression, she didn't like my bag of Orijen and prefer those cheap, crappy food. Oh well~

Not forgetting her BFF
Baby, the faithful working- hunting dog that keeps wild boar away from dad's land.

He eats basically anything and everything, so the Orijen that Dao Sah Pao left untouched didn't go to waste. I guess that's part and parcels of being a working dog in farm, daily food ratio and they have to eat from the same feeding dish, so those who eat fast gets more.

Dao Sah Pao is lucky, she gets individual pot ( see pic above) because the Cambodian workers knew very well picky and slow eater like her will most likely starve to death if left to compete with the rest of the working dogs. They too know the fact that she is a beloved pet dog who earns her keep by working part time, so the difference in treatment.
