Paranoid

I've 3 leash at home, one I use for daily walk, which is a gift from a classmate which she braided it herself; the second leash is a paracord leash bought from local veterinary centre for hiking/ hill running trips, whereas the third one, I had never put it to any use by now. It is always tuck away, alone in a small sling bag along with an extra pair of collar with Teh Pao's name and my contact engraved on it. That's my comfort bag, one that shall provide comfort in time of need.

Other stuffs that I throw in the little comfort bag are:

cash
whistle
a poncho/ raincoat ( one item, dual functions)
duck tape
pen and small note book
a sheet of paper containing Teh Pao's brief details ( ranging from name, gender, health issues, medications, to people to contact)
her vets' name card ( attached together with her details)
bottle of disinfectant
torch light + batteries
2 bottles of drinking water ( 1litre and 500ml replaced every now and then)
a mini first aid kit which I assemble myself
my camping knife,
lighter
Teh Pao's previous year license issued by local council
some dry and canned food ( I eat the existing food supply in the bag after I shopped for groceries to replace them)
my old blanket ( used it for camping trips during high school and now tucked safely in this little bag)
a clean pair of cotton socks
a clean pair of slippers
gloves
a roll of poop bags ( or small plastic bags)
2 small plastic bowl ( for water and food, intended to get those water proof canvas bowls which can be fold and kept - save space)
and a small plush toy ( Teh Pao's favourite choice of toys)
I have my sleeping bag hung up right next to the comfort bag.

Living in a minimum disaster country is a blessing, but having a reactive dog that might run off or acted undesirably under stress has its own risks. I know many dog owners who don't bother to have their dog trained, or socialized, or even allow their dogs roam free without leash nor supervision in public places and in certain neighbourhood it is considered an okay thing to do. The last thing I wanted to worry about is the question " what am I to do with this reactive dog of mine?" in the event a fire broke out, or maybe the city flooded ( I know I live on a hill, but hey, what if disaster hit when we at my hometown?), or one of the coconut tree decided it is time to fall and crash my house? or something that force us to evacuate and leave our home?? I don't know, younger brother said I'm being paranoid, but I just think it is always better to be prepared, after all most things stored in this little bag are used and replaced on regular basis, so I suppose there is no harm being paranoid huh?
