Packing & Leaving

Today is Chinese New Year eve. I've just done packing my stuff and sorting out Teh Pao's so that when it is time to depart, I don't forget anything ( last year I forgot to bring her food bowl, and she had to eat with a plastic container).

As usual, CNY celebration is about red packet a.k.a. ang pao, reunion dinner ( food! and more food!), gatherings, and oh, fireworks, so here's a public service announcement: Keep your pets safe, tuck them in and don't leave them roam free in public places. Last year some friends and family lost their pet cats, dogs and some birds due to fear ( from fireworks, non- stop fireworks), lets hope everyone celebrate this festive season with joy, peace, good health and safety.

Departing after lunch hour.

  1. 新年快樂!恭禧發財,萬事如意!
I started to wonder about how the Bows would do in Asia over CNY, when I was last in Taiwan. There are plenty of other occasions for random fireworks and street parades, etc... but Chinese New Year is a loooong period of time for lots of noise. Well, good for the people who can enjoy a long vacation!

    1. Thank you M.C., gong xi fa cai to you. Firework is part of the festive celebration here irregardless of which celebrations or from which ethic groups. In fact tonight being the eighth day of the Lunar Month, there will be non- stop fire works to pray to the sky by the hokkien =D *although playing fireworks without a permit is illegal*
