I got a promotion.
That was news from last October.
Nothing much changes.
I'm still a babysitter for teenagers, whom most of them have great personalities, except when they decided to ignore my advice ( "request" is more appropriate word to use here) against certain issues they planned to do.
When my "request" was ignored and they been reckless, I'm also a cleaner too. Cleaning mess after mess when these kids screwed up, holding their little hands and guide them through on what needs to be done to mend it so that life is not too miserable for them to live in.
However when situations are far worse than it is suppose to be, I became a negotiator to speak, reason and if necessary, beg ( no, not yet. I'm lucky not to have things gone out of hands), so that anything that will take place is done in their best interests.
I am also a magician, I do miracles. Deadline tomorrow? Deadline today? Deadline in a couple of hours? My phone will ring non-stop, even late at night, all for similar reasons - they expect miracles to happen. And I wonder how many times I have to tell them off for doing things last minutes.
Other than that, I'm also the
Beast Master who tame the wild tempered, disorganized team, getting them on tracks.
Loud Speaker who reach out to right parties to highlight ( repeatedly) problems faced ( and most still unsolved).
Clown who act silly so that I can have their attentions and cooperation to get things done.
and much more..
Yes, I'm no longer the de facto, yet nothing much changed, I'm still me, doing what I do best.
But I still can't get use to the change of job title and the way these brilliant kids addressed me now.
Nothing changed.
I need to remind them, nothing has changed.
I'm still me.
Teh Pao staring at me in my uniform.
No, she doesn't have one, so I put her in one of my shirt.
I just love what I do best. =)
。XD
